Better to travel than arrive…

I like moving scenarios so I try and realize scenes which change continuously. 

Of course, the best would be by displaying top quality models and figures but I recognize my limits although I somehow improved my skills in 50+ years of modeling.

Here we have some Airfix Tiger I, a Fujimi Tiger I and a Fujimi III N. Figures are Preiser, Orion, Milicast. Decals are Archer, TL, Skytrex, Peddinghaus. Extra items are Mars, Attack, Mig, CMK, AP Models, Milicast, Scale Link, HM.

 

P 51 Mustang

I got an Aifix Mustang for 3 euros at a flea market in Milano last year. So I decided to build it together with an old Revell model which was attached to some aircraft reviews marketed in the 80s... For all this time it has slept quietly in the basement. Now it was its turn. I washed the silver coating with some black in order to cancel the impression of a toy and I lightened some panels. I did not use all the decals though.

I must admit the photo shop is fantastic to cancel the nylon strands from the pics.

A tiny beauty: Rata

I managed to find this lovely box by Revell for few euros at a local models fair in Milano. The Polikarpov I-16 has always intrigued me for the size. I should use some photo shop to wipe out the nylon strand from the pics.

Fujimi 88mm Flak 18

This is just a work straight from the box. I tried to improve the outcome with proper weathering to add some realism. Crew is really a mixed bag: one from Orion, a couple from Caesar, the omnipresent guy covering his ears from Revell..

An Opel Blitz, a Pak 38 and a Kfz 31

 

I converted an Opel Blitz by Airfix into a Maultier using the Modelltrans kit which actually was meant for Ford V 3000. The tactical sign is for a motorized antitank unit. The Pak 38 has been put together using various spare parts: the gun comes from Milicast (aimed for a SdKfz 250), the two trails are from Hasegawa, the lower structure and one drawbar were handmade. I tried to duplicate a wheel but the outcome was so poor that I partially hid it under a Zeltbahn.

The Kfz 31 is a cute SMA model (SSP016) with the tactical sign showing it belongs to Command Company of a Pz Grenadier Abt.

Decals are a mixture of Peddinghaus and TL Modellbau. Figures are from Milicast and Revell
